What do we do?

Our primary function is to hold at least 1 mini weekend adventure per month with the Sunday being open to day visitors for those members who cannot make it overnight! These ‘driving days’ are only open to club members with a valid membership card.

However, if you are a member, you can also participate in an Offroadit pay and play day at a reduced rate, these are currently run on a demand basis over the summer months for holiday makers but can be just as much fun as one of our driving days!

The weekends are run from Saturday mornings at 10am until Sunday at 4pm for local trips and from Fridays at 5 until Sunday at 4pm for further a filed trips ( I.e. Wales ). They are all non damaging events with various sections put in place that participants try and drive through, some of these are impassable without the help of another vehicle, this is done to further enhance the feel of an expedition, a bit like the Camel Trophy events which were noted to be the best 4x4 adventure but only available to a select few.

At present, we are all self sustained and camp overnight in tents etc on the actual land we use for off-roading and because we are a family friendly and fun orientated club, everyone ‘chips in’ with equipment should you not be fully equipped, most of the time, all you’ll need to bring in your own tent sleeping bag and food! The club will provide cooking facilities, recovery equipment etc to those who have none. This way, you will see first hand what equipment is best suited before you buy in these difficult times.
